<title>Supervision and Risk Analyst – Stockport – Up to £32,000</title>

<description><![CDATA[An experienced Financial Services Supervision and Risk Analyst in Stockport is required to liaise  with Field Based Compliance Consultants to ensure firm visits are conducted in a timely and professional manner. To collate relevant information from the team to ensure any T&C risks are being managed at group level. To provide information from Head Office to Consultants to ensure they are fully equipped to carry out a visit in a professional manner. To liaise with the Compliance Team regarding any breaches of the T&C Scheme and on going monitoring. 

Job Role:

• To provide pre-initial visit data to Field Based Compliance Consultants 
• Collate and review data from Field Based Compliance Consultants to identify trends and risks at group level and ensure monitoring and supervision is being carried correctly  
• To construct and develop a risk rating system which records T&C information in order to monitor firms and advisers appropriately 
• Liaise with Compliance Consultants regarding T&C related issues. This might include facilitating training and development at firm or group level as a result of complaints or breaches 
• To contribute to company compliance publications regarding T&C and risk related issues 
• To produce ad-hoc T&C and other risk data as required by the Compliance Team 
• Monitor the completion of regular online designated Adviser knowledge testing within timescales as set by the Compliance Team & ensure tests remain fit for purpose 
• To contribute to the internal staff generic compliance training plan 
• Take responsibility for liaising with Field Based Compliance Consultants in order to ensure firm audit and supervision visits are conducted at the required times and actions from these are closed in a reasonable timescale 
• To review various T&C record keeping systems to ensure regulatory requirements are being met  

Skills and Experience Required:

• Financial Planning Certificate (or equivalent) 
• H15 would be a distinct advantage
• Regulatory experience gained from within the financial services industry, preferably in T&C. 
• Attention to detail with excellent planning and organising skills 
• Ability to work within stringent timescales 
• Ability to work as an individual and as part of a team 
• Ability to follow procedures and practices to meet with the standards expected 
• Ability to interpret data and to analyse where existing procedures and practices do not meet with current regulatory standards 
• Excellent standard of written & verbal communication 
• Ability to empathise and build strong business relationships internally and externally

<description><![CDATA[Our client requires an experienced Financial Services Compliance and Technical Specialist  in Stockport to deliver high quality technical and regulatory support and guidance to network firms and to ensure all relevant parties are up to date with regulatory requirements. You will assist the Compliance Manager with monitoring the compliance of Member Firms in accordance with Network and FSA rules and guidance. 

Job Role:

•Provide telephone and e-mail support to firms in relation to all aspects of regulation and technical matters
•Provide comprehensive guidance and support to firms in relation to financial promotions 
•Provide guidance and support in relation to GPP Direct Offer promotions / material 
•Ensure that internal procedures and service standards are adhered to 
•Review and approve financial promotions for Member Firms 
•Compile regular member technical guides and compliance bulletins utilising industry and regulatory publications to enable production 
•To collate information on a regular basis from various parts of the business and externally in order to comprehensively and accurately draft regulatory reporting. 
•Ensure that all Financial Promotions are obtained and stored methodically in the paperless filing system for future reference. 
•To manage client complaints liaising with the all relevant parties where required. 
•To obtain information in relation to breaches, complaints, suspicious activities and other areas of compliance in order to identify any regulatory weakness or shortfalls and identify areas where regulatory behaviour/Treating Customers Fairly can be improved

Skills and Experience Required:

•Financial Planning Certificate (or equivalent) CeMAP (or equivalent)
•AF3 / G60 is essential 
•Regulatory experience gained from within Financial Services
•Sound knowledge of UK regulatory framework 
•Experience of creating compliance and/or technical publications 
•Strong interpersonal skills 
•Strong organisational skills and efficiency 
•Attention to detail
•Ability to interpret data and to analyse where existing procedures and practices do not meet with current regulatory standards

THE ROLE

Dealing with all basic aspects of scheme administration including:-
•	Efficient processing of routine daily post.
•	Initiating year end reviews, including drafting year end review letters to clients.
•	Liaising with insurance companies and third parties re asset valuations.
•	Checking all incoming bank statements for SSAS clients.
•	Liaising with third parties on investment transactions (eg properties, loans).
•	Monitoring rental income and loan maintenance payments.
•	Liaise with member trustees and IFAs as appropriate
•	Update and maintenance of orderly files and filing system.
•	Have a sound basic understanding of Inland Revenue Maximum benefit and contribution limits.
•	Have a sound basic understanding of the principles of the 2004 and 2006 Finance Acts and their impact on SSAS administration (eg Benefit Cystallisation Events, Authorised/Unauthorised Payments, ASP)
•	Progression with CFP/QPA/MDPSA is desirable.
