A specialist insurer is looking for an experienced Risk Control Surveyor to join their Risk Control team.


The Company

This proactive, specialist insurer continues to go from strength to strength. The Role

The role requires risk surveys to be undertaken on a range of trades including commercial, manufacturing and leisure. Follow-up reports detailing risk improvements are then to be produced and submitted to the Underwriting team.


The Benefits

Basic salary of up to £45,000 plus excellent benefits including car allowance and generous annual leave entitlement.


The Person

For your application to be considered, you must have extensive experience of both property and liability insurance risk surveying and hold a clean driving licence.  Solid knowledge of the manufacturing trade and processes is needed.  Previous experience of managing staff would be advantageous.

About the Role:
 
You will be responsible for the development of new and existing broker relationships from a designated panel across the South East.
You will keep your brokers updated with your current product range which will be motor, household, commercial vehicle and travel.
Assist Brokers with strategic development of their business and go the extra mile to ensure that brokers think of you first. 
You need to be an articulate communicator with influencing and relationship development skills.
You also need to be able to demonstrate a reasonable knowledge of the underwriting and broking market.

Key Skills/Experience Required:

Successful track record of developing profitable business relationships gained from either a broker or insurer environment.
Positive, enthusiastic, pro-active with a can-do attitude.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
It will be beneficial if you are part or fully ACII qualified
